Alisa Serebrennikova (@al.muse.art) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Alisa is a concept artist and illustrator based in Poland, she calls herself a wizard and I think there is more than just a joke behind that. Many of her paintings (mostly digital art, but sometimes traditional sketches too) do in fact include a witch, some magic, a mythical creature or some sort of element relatable to a magic world. So I think she likes to imagine herself like a wizard and this passion makes it so that she likes to draw them and think about them.

There is a chance it is all the other way around tho, starting from the drawings and then getting to like the worlds and the stories behind. Ok I’m giving this too much attention, but the point is on her feed you’ll find a ton of female characters and they are usually going to be related to magic!

The first image is in fact a witch, she shared on the caption “Work in progress. Burning witch 🔥?” and I think this lady checks all the marks for being one that’s about to explode. The rain makes it look super spicy like you see it in the movies, and her eyes (zoom in to see the detail) are actually starting to burn what seems to be some deep rage. A very good painting, I love the hair too with that casual “passing in the way” that helps transforming the atmosphere, she really doesn’t care about anything but what she’s looking at right now.

Second pic has a little twist on the “magical” theme this time around including some asian culture references starting from the woman’s face and going all the way to the clothings, passing through her delicate skin and some red fiery trickery in the hands. Once again the hair look fantastic and this time pairing them with the jewelry was a very very nice touch, I like it a lot!

What do you think about Alisa? Do you also love what’s going on here?
