Banashree (@muzenik_) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Banashree is a self-taught digital artist from India focusing mainly on female characters. She takes inspiration from a lot of “worlds” I love too such as magic and nature just to name a few. She likes to share a ton of process videos so if you’re looking for a bunch of stunning creations you can see final results as well as how they were made!

Something to notice on her art is surely the ability to use light and reflections to their best, sometimes even transforming them into glowing elements which is perfect to set up the magic mood. All the effects she comes up with feel great and I guess it’s the digital medium that lets her play with them so much the reason why she’s now a true master!

The first piece is Hermione from Harry Potter, I like her a lot both in the books and in this illustration. On her IG post Banashree wrote a long and interesting piece about herself, the past and her journey through art which I enjoyed a lot. I can relate to the “fear” of taking a bad decision and I’d love to have one of those Time-Turners to try out and do different things at the same time!

Sun Girl and Moon Girl is a beautiful piece in which you can really appreciate her skills with lights. The unique marks on their foreheads glowing so much are incredible, they really look magical! I also find extremely pleasing the white/silver hair of the moon side especially paired with such a wonderful skin tone. Great illustrations!
