Ffion Eira Evans (@ffioneiraevans) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Ffion is an illustrator and designer based in Germany, she paints the cutest animals and has a few distinctive features I like a lot and I hope you’ll find amazing too. Most of the times there is a prevalent color in the artwork, sometimes taking the background sometimes also getting in the subject too, which is always in the center with lots of air around. The effect is a clear protagonist which I love and the contrast is always on point even when the palette is restricted (you’ll get an example very soon).

She is always capable of putting a smile on her creatures so every illustration is lovely and gives a smile to me too, which is wonderful!

The first image is very interesting, first of all it’s a clear example of a small palette with few elements of contrast for an amazing result and that’s not easy at all. Then you can appreciate the results of a symmetry function put to good use, she also suggests it’s fun and relaxing so if you’ve got procreate ready you might take this as the right time to try it out! I love the details on the wings which (unfortunately for her) look like they might have took about a year to paint but they really look super cool.

The second pic is fantastic! On top of the fox which is amazing look at how good the moon is at taking the background on this painting, if you try to imagine it without you clearly see it was a needed addition and that one together with the shining stars took the whole piece to the next level. Love it! Speed video available on her IG feed.
