Jens is an artist that works both traditionally and digitally, sometimes pushing as far as trying to bring the traditional experience in this digital world through streaming (his twitch link is down below!). I like all the sketches and the digital illustrations a lot, but in the end probably cause of my recent shift that leans more towards the digital word for a while, to mix things up a bit, I’m really fascinated by his digital characters and illustrations. Don’t stop at what you see here in the post tho, take a look at his feed and you won’t regret it cause there’s much more!
The first image is just amazing, it’s actually a small piece he made together with many more and they’re all super nice, but this one tops them all. I mean look at this cutie.. The golden color is perfect and the lights and shadows on it are the best. He worked very nicely on the expression too! If you love this one in the same post there are a stork, a crab, a demonic insect I don’t know the name of (but it’s the worst thing that could walk this earth like.. ever) and in the end a couple of adorable stuffy dinosaurs.
The second pic is a portrait of Joaquin Phoenix playing the Joker, it’s the kind of style I love the most where the details themselves aren’t pixel perfect, but if you look at the artwork as a whole it all comes together wonderfully and you wouldn’t change a single bit of it not even if you could. There are more crazy good actor potraits paired with this one on IG, I’m a fan so I spent some time on each of them!
