Nina Hidalgo (@ninathidalgo) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Nina is a miniature painter from Philippines, and I love her tiny collection of supplies!

In order to paint such small pieces she makes use of little surfaces, often sized less than her hand so she can hold them instead of putting them on a table. The ring-palette is super cute and practical for this kind of paintings and something you won’t see in the pics but you can find in her profile is small brushes to be precise on all the little details.

The mini polaroid piece is a very nice idea! I used to do that kind of paintings in the past, but obviously in a much bigger scale. To nail it in such little space is remarkable, I mean, the flowers, the sky, the clouds.. all very well done!

Lovely sketchbooks the last two! I think they’re handmade because I see the paper isn’t cut with machine precision, the edges are rough and they give the whole thing a touch of real and personal.

What do you think about Nina? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
