Vera Drmanovski (@vera.drmanovski) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Vera is a paper lettering artist based in Canada, and she’s a very unique and particular pick in this series. Her works consist in 3D paper lettering creating something that in modern era you’re probably used to see in a digital version. That’s right what you’re going to see here and the pics you can find on her profile are actually handmade paper cuts!

She also likes to post a ton of videos and animations which I find very cool, she is able to bring her real artwork into the digital world and animate it to create a special moving version of it.

The first image is a collection that’s perfect to showcase the very large amount of different colors she likes to work with, and it also gives a hint at the intricacies that characterize her pieces. It doesn’t even make enough justice at the awesome tangles sometimes you get to see, and to think she creates them with paper layer by layer is simply stunning!

The second image is a coffee shop sign, I like the name “Wanna Beans” and its mini-game with the coffee beans placed on the sides. Notice the black shadow on the words, it’s a super nice touch which makes them look way more “digitally created” than they really are (because they aren’t!). Super cool stuff, I admire her works and style.

What do you think about Vera? Do you also love what’s going on here?
