Agathe Molin (@0.p.a.l.e) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Agathe is a young artist based in France, she loves to design characters and sometimes experiments with environments too. There a few traits you can find on her IG profile that I find interesting and unique. She often paints the characters on a flat background and gives them an accent on some part of the body, like a big chest, a super mobile spine, big hips, tiny lengs and so on.. It’s a style I’m used to see in the movies and I like it.

Her environment pieces sometimes come in groups, and I don’t mean she does a few and posts them day by day, she actually creates a composition (usually black stripes divide the canvas) and matches them in the same pic, you’ll see an example soon enough! It’s enjoyable there are a few to look at and I liked them all. Oh and if you like black and white character designs there are a ton of those too

The first image are some takes of the environments she worked on for a quick film project, the post on IG has many more in it if swipe so if you like them like I do go take a look! Looking at the same view three times for different moments of the day is cool, you get to see how she works on lightings and colors to change the whole feeling. I think I like the last one most cause of the moon, it’s shiny and captures my eyes.

The second pic is sooo clean and nice! This couple dancing gives me the impression of having no weight at all, they are so smooth it’s almost like they’re flying around. It’s a beautiful scene. She also captured their joy and expressed it pretty well with the faces, as well as using “pure” colors that play in favor of a good experience. Wonderful background sky just barely colored it’s not invasive and the ground too it’s cutted to really be there to just give a point in space to the real protagonists of the scene. I think this piece is amazing!

What do you think about Agathe? Do you also love what’s going on here?
