Aleksander Brodziński (@grimcatt) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Aleksander is a concept artist and illustrator from Poland. I’m going to steal a word or two from his twitter profile description where he says about himself he’s “chaotic neutral”. Even if you’re not into D&D and the likes, even if you don’t know alignments very well the two words do summarize what I see in his IG feed pretty well even when taken literally for their meaning. He likes to explore with techniques, styles, mediums, subjects, colors and everything you can imagine. This makes the posts very diverse and the range of artworks you can find is pretty huge, from a stunning and beautiful portrait to a monstrous and scary creature. The only thing every work has in common with the others is the extremely good drawing, that’s a constant no matter the flavor of the day.

The first gif shows very well and in the matter of seconds the few steps he took to complete the painting. The lines are crazy good and that’s probably half the amazing work you see right there, but then the layers of color start coming in and everything becomes alive. The last couple of steps working on the lighting and the deeper shadows are fabulous, they’re the difference between a good and a fantastic artwork.

In the second pic there’s another semi-monster creature (the first one was “carnivore”, by the way), “honey” this time around. There is something very good in the robes that melt with the ground, they’re mesmerizing! This of course when you’re done observing the body, which is very much taking the center of the scene in the first few seconds of focus. It’s disturbingly good. In the right amount.

What do you think about Aleksander? Do you also love what’s going on here?
