Ann (@anygoart) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Ann is a digital and traditional artist who loves to paint portraits, most of them are made with traditional tools and sometimes she even mixes up a few things to produce stunning results, more on this later! I’m surprised by her drawings and her painting skills cause some of the times I’ve had to check in the caption looking at the hashtags to see if the artwork was digital or not. It means her stroke is very smooth and clear.

She runs an etsy shop where you can find originals or prints, and I’ve heard soon there might be some stickers action so you don’t wanna miss the chance to take a look at those!

The first painting is a recent experiment of her in which she mixed watercolors and gouache for a brilliant result! She wasn’t sure about the outcome but I think we can all safely agree it couldn’t turn out better than this. The drawing is fantastic too it’s not just about the colors. On IG she shared a zoom in and I saw a creepy shadow face in the back, but maybe I’m the only one thinking it.. please go take a look and tell me if you see that too!

The second image is a magnificent way to make use of simple elements like basic shapes, lines, circles.. and all of that just using pencils! The power of her art shines in a drawing like this one, you really get to see how the artwork is a complex construction in the artist’ mind represented in a “simple” way, and the result is amazing. I love how she was able to represent light in this piece, for example, I find that inspiring.

What do you think about Ann? Do you also love what’s going on here?
