Anouk Archambault (@kanoe_ka) is my pick for today’s talent!

Anouk is a student in animation from France, she works primarily digitally and while I love the cute characters she draws lately she’s been impressive with her works touching new areas and creating some really promising scenes!
Looking at her feed if you scroll down you’ll get that clear “time travel” feeling, diving in the past post after post. For a young artist like she is I absolutely love the improvements she has made. This is one of the talents you don’t wanna miss out on following closely cause I think over time she’ll rise up to be a nature’s power.
The first image is a wonderful illustration in which not only I like the style very much, but I think she nailed the coloring on top! She went for this calming palette with very little room for accents that’s setting the mood precisely. I would love to see a short animated with this style used for the characters.
Second pic is a bit flashier but I think it fits perfectly with the caption she gave to the artwork, in which she admits she had a time where she was a bit obsessed with the Magnus Archive she had listen to. I find this “lost in the dark” thought with neon colors to be exactly the image I’m looking for if the subject represented is also the protagonist of an obsession, and more so if the underlaying theme is horror related. Great illustration!
