Carles is an artist from Girona, Spain. His style is very cool and after I got back into comics and manga I just can’t stop looking at his art. The pieces feel complete and I appreciate that a lot, I know how much time it takes to even just think about the background, to imagine little details that aren’t really vital to the story. Yet all the posts you’ll find on IG look to me like a ready to print artwork.
Between the multitude of links you’ll find at the bottom (so you can look at Carles’ art on the platform you prefer) I have to say I found a very very rich patreon page. Let’s just say I think he shares with the supporters way more than double the content I see being shared on average. If you like what you see here patreon deserves a visit for sure.
The first pic I love so much both because it’s very well drawn and because the scene itself is hilarious. I (almost) never cheated at school cause very much like the girl in the artwork I’d be so stressed I don’t think I could handle the situation. So if I were the one pulling off the jacket trick I don’t think 3 drops of sweat would be the proper amount.. more like 30 I think.
The second image is the “Goddess of Fish Food”. I love that she looks like she’s the kind of girl who doesn’t really care that much about other people’s opinions, so she can look weird and that’s ok. The art especially with the fishes and the frogs is spectacular and funny, the colors are on point and it’s giving me more than what just a pic would so, so it means it’s masterfully executed. Great stuff!
