Josh ‘Badger’ Atack (@badgertracks) is my pick for today’s talent!

Josh is a lead concept artist and designer based in London, UK. Their passion for fantasy art and imaginary worlds is what drives most of the posts you’re going to find on Instagram. It is one of those cases tho in which I highly recommend you to take a look at the other social links you find at the end of this article cause there is different stuff in different places and you might miss on something really cool if you just take a quick look at IG.
Many of the character designs and sketches are directly inspired by dnd and its campaigns (or they inspire the creation of dnd campaigns? I’d be inspired to create one if the player does such drawings just saying) and usually are made with pen on paper, the simplest form yet so functional. Some of the digital works tho really go over the top, they deserve the attention too.
The first image is for example a “Frogmen”, and on IG you’ll find more than one, it’s a species the characters met during their journey. I love how the others are clearly from the same “region” but substantially different, they were able to create the diversities humans usually come with but in a toad body. You really should go get a look at the boss and the soldier that came with this one!
Just to give you a digital piece the second one is a wonderful illustration in which there are at least 5 things I absolutely love. In no particular order cause they all look crazy good to me those are: the ray of light hitting the floor on the left, the face of the character, the shadows on the ground, the shape of the aircraft and the beautiful mantle. It’s a fantastic piece.
