Esra Røise (@esrarois) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project
Esra is a freelance illustrator from Norway, she creates all sorts of artworks but you’ll see mainly portraits. She has a unique, original and unconventional style, that’s why I had to say she creates things instead of just going with paints or draws, there’s going to be collages put together with mixed mediums and techniques, realistic subjects paired up with abstract shapes. Definitely not a boring feed!
Super original portrait, purposely left incomplete, out of the “frame”, realistic face vs stylized hair, real flowers pressed on top. I mean can I even add anything to make it stranger? And the best part is that the final result is beautiful, sorta like how different colors can create a perfect rainbow.
The second piece is yet another figure who can’t resist the urge to get out of the frame, with a depth effect created by the arm and a casual brush stroke of plain pink on top for good measure. Astonishing!
What do you think about Esra? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
