Francesca Riccardo (@hannibal_lettering) is my pick for today’s talent!

Francesca is a lettering artist from Italy and she likes to create both with digital and traditional medium. She learnt everything as a self-taught and after years of endless practice I can only say she produces amazing letterings one after the other (practice is one of my main pillars too, you need to do do do do over and over again to get better at something!)
One thing I love is seeing the magic a little touch of procreate can do to an hand drawn lettering on paper, it’s something you’re going to see (only if you know about it and have a good eye) scrolling through her feed, the words are literally going to jump out of the screen! It makes them look sooo good. Take a close look at her posts and see if you can spot “the magics”!
I love when I can see and get to know a bit more about the artist (after all this is also what the whole year on talents series is about!) and the first image here summarizes exactly the content I always want to get and will never have enough of. Wonderful lettering I love the colors and their transitions, a touch of digital and a bit of Francesca! The perfect mixture. If you understand Italian on her post on IG there’s also a sweet introduction she made to let you know more about her. I’ve gotta say through it I discovered we have some common passions! We both love lettering, animals, reading and pizza <3
The second image has to be one of my favorites, both artistically speaking and in the true meaning of the piece. The lettering is stunning, shiny and glossy, the palette is awesome especially on this background and the “magic” of procreate all together gave life to this fantastic artwork. “Fire walk with me” from Twin Peaks then is the cherry on the cake, I loved the show much like she did!
