Lora (@worldofcat.art) is my pick for today’s talent!

Lora is an illustrator and storyteller from Zagreb, Croatia. Before we explore her artworks I would like to tell you how good her IG profile looks. So I don’t usually focus much on it but this time I honestly hope you’ll find the time to visit her feed (link below) and scroll through because she kept a coherent style and color palette all the way, and most of the times the artworks are woman portraits. This thing in the end makes for a wonderful feeling and look, the profile feels curated and to me it’s just beautiful.
Most of her portraits share a specific texture, it’s almost a feeling at first you wouldn’t notice, but after a closer look I think that makes a big difference. It’s the fact that the illustrations look “vintage” in a way, made on old paper. She uses specific brushes (digital) to reach this kind of result and when you notice it you can’t unsee it anymore.
So the first pic covers 8 of the most beautiful pieces around, with Lora of course in the center. Every single one can surprise you for some of the details in it, they all bring a message with them, at least that’s what I feel by watching them one by one. The fact that they all share something in style and color palette also means this compilation is truly amazing, they fit together so well. Gorgeous characters, a touching collage.
The second and third images match even more than what you might think at first and I can’t decide which one I like the most! Each profile of the woman is paired with the animals connected to her, and the quotation on the side gives the whole artwork a deep meaning. I also love the earrings on both!
