Luma (@lumawildish) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Luma is a children’s book illustrator from Spain. She produces suuuuper cute artworks that really feel perfect for kids and here is why in my opinion: first of all they’re joyful, colorful and really cute no matter who the protagonist is. Then you gotta see the drawings that keep the subjects simple, they’re more often than not sporting rounded edges and there isn’t too much to keep track of in the canvas. Finally the compositions are balanced and I can feel a special and magical atmosphere in almost every occasion. All things considered the paintings are welcoming and calming, they put you in a good mood and are images I’d love every kid could have to build his/her own dreams on top of!

The first piece is exploding cuteness and love from all .. pixels? Oh boy, please take a minute to zoom in and look at all the little creatures hidden in this pond (and not only). It’s so lovely, and the mini game with light that is infiltrating through the forest was done spectacularly. Another thing I like so much is the color she uesd for the water, I find it amazing.

The second illustration is about her dreaming to have chickens on her future house.. sooooo nice! I also love animals I think I’d love to have a farm and to take care of all the pets I can fit in it, I want a huge field and a forest with a river and I want to live with all the animals! That’s the kind of dream I get inspired into when I see fabulous illustrations like this one. Fantastic painting, love that she’s feeding them too, the pose looks so natural.
