Nassybah Cruz (@nussay_watercolor) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Nassybah is a super interesting artist who focuses on nature and in particular on insects. It’s a strange subject but don’t let your mind think insects are bad just because they’re annoying sometimes… She is 100% able to represent a bug in such a wonderful and colorful way that you might find yourself re-evaluating those little creatures!

Her insects collection (take a look at the profile there are tons of them) is painted in watercolor and I really like how she’s able to give them brightness. Plus all her paintings look like they’re ready to be printed on the pages of a biology book, really cool.

One of the most interesting things about the first multi subject painting you can see here (I suggest you to click on the image to get a zoomed version) is the fact that every one has its unique shape. Insects are strange they don’t feel like any other thing we know well, they’re just original and funny.

The next image showcases a very particular insect carrying a full constellation on its back! Look at how beautiful it is. And the level of details is just amazing, you can even see the grid pattern on the bottom.

What do you think about Nassybah? Do you also love what’s going on here?
I’d like to discuss today’s talent with you in the comments below!
