Ola Szpunar (@olaszpu) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Ola is an illustrator and graphic designer from Poland, her paintings are beautifully stunning in their simplicity, she plays a lot with overlapping of basic shapes to obtain some of the wonderful pieces you can see on her IG feed. Another activity I have to talk about is her production of handmade ceramics. She makes all sorts of fantastic pots, cups, plates and stuff.. They sometimes resemble a human, some other times it’s the human figure being directly painted on top by her, and some other times it’s about a floral or an animal. Whatever is there it’s always adorable, and I love the act of creating something so original in a world that’s probably too much “all the same”.

The first image is lovely, you can clearly see how little she needed to convey a special message, delivering as always a simple yet effective illustration. I like the lights and shadows game in this one in particular, using the shining star on the hand to brighten up the face a little was the perfect touch. The girl is super cute and inspires me sweetness, tenderness in a sense, love it!

In the second pic there’s Ola and her “clay gang”! I like all the items they make me smile cause she gave them all a character in some way, they look ready to be made into the next animation movie and become alive, I can imagine a personality for each of them. If you love unique creations to make your desk a friendly and calming place you can take a look at her etsy shop (link below). So cool!

What do you think about Ola? Do you also love what’s going on here?
