Sara Madrid (@saradibu) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Sara is an artist based in Barcelona, Spain. Her works with the ball point pen are just insane, she’s too good with it. Sara mainly does portraits and is capable of such high level of precision and patience to put together her art line by line. She shares lots of videos and it’s super cool to see how the layering process goes, it’s kinda like looking at a printer go on with the CMYK levels except she’s just using her hands and “a simple pen”. The results are of course on the same level as any printer you might have at home by the way, if anything I would say I like hers more cause the feeling an artist did it brings the piece over the top.

The first image is a commission for a birthday and what a beautiful surprise must that have been (video on IG!). Sara later shared a challenge where you see a few steps of the artwork in a quick sequence and I must say the effect is really good, you can see how she works, how she thinks her lines in advance and what it comes out to be in the end when everything falls in the right place. A beautiful feeling, honestly.

The second pic is a fantastic portrait! I suggest you to go take a look at the short video posted with it cause that’s exactly the moment in which you see her going with cyan, magenta and then yellow using color theory to its perfection to come up with this absolute beauty. Impressive work, I can’t stop watching her art and the videos!
