Arus Angchuan aka Apolar (@apolar.arch) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Arus is a concept, vis dev artist and illustrator based in Thailand. His artworks are amazing he keeps surprising me and it looks like every project he steps into was made for him. There are lots of personal illustrations together with fan arts and every “cycle” has its own style and palettes to work with. They look super different one from each other and what’s crazy is that every single one of the cycles does give the impression that Apolar didn’t do anything else for his entire life cause they’re all perfect up to the smallest of details, they’re smooth, clear and professional artworks. The project called “wiwonder” he made for and with his mom is absolutely nuts and as soon as I saw it it drove me crazy, there’s a profile dedicated to it (@wiwonder.a) which I think you might want to visit!

The first image is the cover for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – 20th Anniversary Thai Edition which he got the chance to paint. He made the whole special edition, all the books, and honestly they’re too good to be real. I’d like to own this collection just for the art even if I can’t read a single word of Thai. Magnificent illustration, sincerely, from a Harry Potter fan.

The second pic is about the wiwonder project I talked about, that’s his mom baking something delicious and he chose to make posters like this one to put together bakery and art. I love the style he went for, it reminds me of the past but in a beautiful way, how come we lost the habit of doing graphic design like this? So great, there are many more on IG if you follow the link I gave you. And all the food looks delicious by the way!

What do you think about Arus? Do you also love what’s going on here?
