Łukasz Biel (@lukasz_biel_art) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Łukasz is an artist from Poland, and today you’re going to see something a bit different than usual cause he’s a master of traditional mediums matched with unconventional styles. I know it’s not something crazy, out of this world or anything, but compared to my usual artist profile I go take a look at for inspiration or just to appreciate the art his feed is pretty original and always surprises me.

Of all the techniques when he uses pens on paper and about a million lines to draw the results are stunning. He keeps lights and shadows under perfect control and the figures are also super well drawn too.

The first piece sports one of the most beautiful water effects I’ve seen in a while, I love all the distortions and those little air bubbles. I think creating such beautiful lines with a single “color” is way harder than you’d imagine at first, the lips for example are just a tiny bit different from the rest of the face, the tone is slightly darker, but that’s enough to picture them super well. The amount of precision required is high and I like the piece a lot!

The second image is so good, these men playing chess at the cafe look fantastic, and I’m surprised for example by the other guy looking from the window, it seems like the game must have been very interesting to capture his attention. Impressive work once again, very nice.

What do you think about Łukasz? Do you also love what’s going on here?
