Nalak is a French freelance illustrator with a very colorful and original style. Her art checks all the boxes I wanna see in a top level work starting from the color palettes to the drawings, going through her inspiration sources, her style, the way she always makes cohesive pieces and so on..
This time I have to say it her IG is criminally under-followed and I’m sure if you’re reading this post there’s a very good chance you want to take a minute and show her your support. It’s honestly stunning to look at her art and I just want to be sure many more people out there get this chance. Spread some love! She also keeps a cool YouTube channel going, definitely worth a visit (links below).
The first piece is so amazing! The dynamics and movements expressed here are superb and I absolutely love the colors used as well as the ornaments both the protagonists are wearing. The birds are also super cool with the one featured in the foreground looking perfect to “frame” the focal point together with the other ones, a nice touch.
The second image is wonderful and while it does give a different feeling compared to the first one they do both have some traits in common that make me like “Nalak’s style”, she’s able to make them recognizable even at first glance and that is amazing in my opinion. From artist to artist I mean that as a very good compliment, it’s the detail that’s worth more than a signature, I wish I could say the same about my own artworks!
