Roberto Spadaro (@robyhb) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Roberto is a graphic designer and concept artist based in Florence, Italy. He works digitally to enhance the fantasy worlds you’ve seen and are still waiting to see with his wonderful designs and with amazing illustrations. I would say the standard quality of his artworks is way over “the average”, they all seem ready to be part of a videogame or an animation movie.

The mix of softwares he uses and his skills with each of them is what really enables him to unleash his creativity and express the art with no limits. Being able to have a wide array of weapons in your arsenal is certainly a quality that shows in an IG feed, which is what happens in this case where you can jump so flawlessly from a body study to a character design, from an artificial scene to a natural environment.

The first image is the design of a fisherman village, notice the details all over it and how cool the whole idea is. He also nailed the colors and gave the final page an awesome look by including all the notes on the sides and the fancy close ups. It feels like the guide you need to read before deciding to adventure in this place.

The second pic, “Mars”, shows the crazy result he obtained with such a limited palette. The work on lights and shadows as well as the beautiful textures are what really intrigued me. Maybe it’s part of my own view on the topic so I might be influenced, but I think I can feel the lonelyness by watching this human walk to the rover. Would you go to Mars if you had to do it on your own once you’re there?

What do you think about Roberto? Do you also love what’s going on here?
