Valeriya Pichugina (@renne_lera) is my pick for today’s talent!
If you don’t know what A Year on Talents is here you can find the description of the project: A Year on Talents Project

Valeriya is a watercolor artist and teacher and she focuses mainly on botanical elements and animals. Coming from art studies and many successes she undoubtly developed amazing skills both in drawing and painting. The combination makes for some crazy good pieces where I literally can’t stop looking for details or can’t avoid getting stunned by color shades and gradients. Every painting looks delicate and precise, every animal is drawn perfectly, it’s simply always just a mix of gorgeous stuff. She is an artist to admire and look at if you’re looking to see how things should be done!

The first painting is a strange animal, to be fair I don’t think something quite like this one exists for real in nature, but she nailed it so much that I’m actually not even sure. It’s so natural in its pose that it kinda has to be true! I absolutely love the drawing here, and the coloring on top is also amazing. Like the details on the back, the precision on both the neck and the cheek, and when the painting gets blurry it’s perfect to let you focus on the subject. Simply beautiful.

The second piece I wanna comment a little bit on is the small rat. It’s soooo cute! She gave it those big eyes to make it sweet and cuddly that now I want to scratch the belly! Of course the flowers around are also a big part, it looks like the piece is still in the making but you can already clearly see she is about to complete a couple of flowers that will turn out great without a doubt.

What do you think about Valeriya? Do you also love what’s going on here?
